Barbara is an architect, author, CEO and co-founder of the architecture office PROJEKT. Her work pursues a specific agenda: architecture within the planetary boundaries. Projects focus on the eco-social transformation of existing buildings and neighbourhoods, emphasizing climate protection, circularity, resilience and inclusion while pursuing a complementary research-and-design strategy.

Barbara graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and studied at Tokyo University of the Arts. Professional experience in Berlin, Vienna and Tokyo focused on renovation, housing and educational building projects. Barbara teaches at Technical University Vienna and frequently presents her research at professional symposia. She is actively involved in professional working groups at the Austrian Chamber of Architects and at Habitat 2030 with a focus on ecology and life cycle analysis.
