Born in Naples, Italy, Martina Simoncini studied architecture in Naples and Berlin, and worked at the university until 2013. In 2013, she moved to Austria, where she worked for 9 years for Dietrich Untertrifaller Architekten in Bregenz. In 2023, she founded the architectural practice "Kaufmann Simoncini Architekten" together with her colleague and friend, Lara Kaufmann.

Our philosophy:
Architecture and interior design are our great passions, with a special affinity for timber construction.
Working with existing buildings is a key focus for us; we believe in the latent potential of existing structures. Through careful, sensitive intervention, we preserve their identity, make sensible use of resources, and create spaces that bridge history and the future. Our goal is to bring buildings back to life and preserve them long-term as a valuable part of our architectural heritage.
