Ursula Faix completed her architectural studies at the Technical University of Vienna, Austria and at the Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, Rhode Island, USA. Before founding FXA ursula faix architecture, she was managing director and co-owner of bad architects ZT-KG from 2006 to 2016. She has worked in internationally renowned offices, including Massimiliano Fuksas in Vienna and Rome. From 2004-2010 she was a research assistant and deputy director at the Institute for Urban Development and Spatial Planning and at the Institute for Intelligent Transport Systems at the University of Innsbruck. From 2007-2011 she was visiting professor for City Planning at the University for Business and Technology (UBT) in Prishtina, Kosovo/a. From 2009-2014 she was on the board of the Tyrolean architectural forum (aut - architektur und tirol).

The FXA ursula faix architecture office specializes in residential and urban development, site and community development, mobility concepts and citizen participation processes.
Ursula Faix has more than 10 years of experience in this area as a freelance architect and has looked after almost 30 communities in Tyrol, Salzburg and South Tyrol in recent years. In addition to the classic planning work, the area of responsibility mainly includes master plans, mobility concepts, planning of meeting zones, regional development plans, process support and citizen participation processes.
