Sand underfoot, lavender at the door, timber decks connecting tent to tent. The social pavilion — clad in horizontal wood planks, accented in cobalt blue — anchors the ensemble without competing with the landscape.
Amurg is conceived as a minimal intervention in direct dialogue with the natural landscape of Vadu. The site's defining conditions — unmanicured sand, warm evening light, and the open horizon of the Black Sea — set the essential parameters of the project: scale, materiality, and organizational rhythm. The ensemble comprises a social pavilion, a rectangular pool, and eight accommodation units arranged in pairs on timber platforms, connected by light pedestrian paths integrated into the sand layer.
Inside, the main room opens under a pitched plywood ceiling: light wood on every surface, a generous communal table, a kitchenette along the back wall. Simple, warm, functional. The facade opens fully toward the deck and pool; cobalt blue accents on select details reference local Lipovan vernacular architecture and the proximity of water.
Adjacent, the sanitary block shifts register: a live-edge oak vanity, round wooden mirrors and a bold botanical mural. A surfboard leans against a reed screen. The night sky comes in through the louvred ceiling.
Exterior spaces unfold across treated timber decks with textile shading and relaxation furniture — informal and unhurried. Accommodation units vary in color across the site's natural palette: terracotta, moss, clay, sand — interiors in wood, cotton, and plant fiber throughout.
Nod Design Lab and Tamina Lolev oversaw the complete design, from site organization and volumetric definition to interior concept and the particularization of each unit.
