Ewelina Gdak is a Polish landscape architect and urban planner, founder of Gdak Studio, specializing in the design and revitalization of public spaces, urban landscapes, parks and civic environments.
She holds two Master of Engineering degrees: Landscape Architecture from the Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences and Spatial Planning from the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. During her studies she also completed an academic exchange at Universidad Miguel Hernández in Spain, focusing on environmental sciences. She has been a member of the Polish Landscape Architecture Association (SAK) since 2008.
Since 2013, she has led her own design practice, delivering projects that combine landscape architecture, urban planning, accessibility, ecological solutions and community-oriented design. Her work focuses on transforming underused urban spaces into inclusive and sustainable environments that strengthen local identity and improve quality of life.
Among her most significant realized projects are the revitalization of the central square in Nowiny, the redevelopment of Świętokrzyska Street and public spaces in Nowa Słupia, the revitalization of public spaces in Chmielnik, the Garden of Freedom in Kielce, the landscape design for Radio Kielce, as well as numerous public space and urban greening projects in Warsaw and other Polish cities.
Her projects have been recognized through exhibitions and design awards, including the Good Design Award in the Public Sphere category for the City Lounge project, later presented at the International Biennial of Landscape Architecture in Barcelona.
Through her practice, Ewelina Gdak explores how landscape architecture can serve as a tool for social integration, environmental resilience and the creation of meaningful public spaces that respond to contemporary urban challenges.
