Wettbewerb für die Generalsanierung der Volksschule Landskron mit tiefgreifender Umgestaltung und räumlicher Erweiterung des Bestandsgebäudes | die neue Mittelzone verbindet zwei langgestreckte dreigeschossige Gebäudeteile mit einer lichtdurchfluteten, alle Geschosse verbindenden Galerie als zentralen Ort der Begegnung und des Austausches | das Licht fällt in einem Lichtbrunnen durch große Öffnungen in die darunter liegenden Stockwerke, die alle Ebenen des Gebäudes wie Innenhöfe vom Dach bis hin zur Eingangsebene miteinander verbinden | durch Aufstockung und sparsame Ergänzungen wurde die Schule weitergebaut, wodurch das Freiflächenangebot erhalten bleiben konnte
Competition for the comprehensive renovation of the Landskron primary school with a profound redesign and spatial expansion of the existing building | the new central zone connects two elongated, three-story building sections with a light-flooded gallery spanning all floors, serving as a central meeting place and hub for exchange | light enters the building through large openings in a light well, connecting all levels from the roof to the entrance level like courtyards | the school was extended through the addition of extra stories and economical additions, thus preserving the amount of open space.
