Residential Building in Bischofshofen Salzburg
Tina Urban
In the heart of Bischofshofen, a compact, five-story residential building with 30 apartments and an underground parking garage has been completed. The white-plastered structure follows a clear, minimalist design language: precisely placed windows, subtle shadow gaps, and deeply recessed loggias articulate the facade in a tranquil rhythm.
Two centrally located, glazed stairwells provide access to the building and bring natural light into the circulation areas.
The first through fourth floors each contain seven through-units, east-west oriented apartments with two to three rooms (45–75 m²). All units feature a sheltered loggia, serving as a private outdoor space. The ground-floor apartments also include private gardens.
On the fifth floor, two spacious penthouse apartments, each with over 100 m² of living space and wraparound roof terraces, have been created.
The facilities are complemented by generous communal outdoor areas that offer residents space to move around, a pleasant atmosphere, and opportunities to socialize. Paths, planting areas, seating areas, and bicycle parking are arranged functionally and in a clearly structured manner.
