Monex Offices

Inspired by the historical significance of crossroad meeting points, the project highlights connectivity, with a central intersection uniting three departments, the reception and primary meeting areas. Monex redefines its workspaces by balancing meeting areas and open spaces to accommodate the company’s structural reorganization. The design incorporates elements of nature, modern aesthetics, and vibrancy to create an inspiring and functional environment for all departments, contributing to overall employee satisfaction and well-being. A variety of workspaces are created, ranging from open and collaborative to private and secluded, catering to the company's diverse work dynamics.
Wood is a highly advantageous material due to its versatility and sustainability. Its flexible nature enables it to gracefully curve, resulting in an impressive quality of optimal stiffness and effortless smoothness. Combined with glass which aligns with the internal structures, complementing the sleek aesthetic appeal of the office. Sustainability is considered through the use of local materials, supporting the circular economy. Sustainability certificates were prioritized for materials. Taking advantage of Madrid’s abundant natural light, innovative sensors connected to the KNX system have been implemented to regulate temperature and optimize incoming light. Vegetation in the office is a great addition. A way to revive spaces, psychologically and physically having positive impact in the indoor atmosphere.
The biggest challenge was executing the project in 3 months, which was successfully achieved through close collaboration with the general contractor, supporting different aspects of the design. A further challenge involved managing logistics within a heritage office tower, as there were many restrictions. Consistent collaborative discussions and feedback, including the client, played an important role in refining the design, resulting in them feeling strongly connected to the project.
