Haus Höngg, Renovation

Elisabeth Hobiger-Feichtner

Instead of demolishing it, we were able to persuade the owners to renovate it. The condition of the building was not ideal. As the building is on a slope, water pressure was a major issue, as the rooms at garden level were unusable. The rooms were drained, the building was technically upgraded and the roof replaced.

Individual windows were enlarged to let a lot of light into the building. Openings inside were also partially enlarged and optimized. The building was stripped back to its essentials. All surfaces were replaced where necessary. The sanitary facilities were left in place but renovated.
