the ellbögen education campus is located in a privileged setting among meadows above the wipptal valley, with panoramic views of the tyrolean mountains. close to the village church, a new multifunctional village square is created between the campus and the former school building. this public square serves as a social meeting place, event space and the forecourt of the campus, strengthening the village centre and community life.

the campus has one shared entrance for all users, creating a common arrival point for children, parents and staff from the different institutions. the entrance opens into a generous multi-storey central hall that functions as an assembly space for events and celebrations. the kindergarten and nursery are connected to this space on the ground floor, while the primary school is located above. all areas have direct access to outdoor spaces integrated into the educational concept. entrance zones are designed as mudrooms with cloakrooms to keep interiors clean and practical.

all kindergarten group rooms face southwest and open onto large covered verandas. every two groups share an unheated winter garden that can fully open in summer, provide extra usable area in spring and autumn, and act as a climate buffer in winter. the marketplace, movement room, quiet room and activity areas connect to two recessed courtyards used as protected outdoor play zones. nursery rooms face northeast and have direct access to covered outdoor play areas.

the primary school and after-school care spaces are planned for shared but flexible use. classrooms face northeast and have covered balconies. the central marketplace opens onto a large roof terrace above the kindergarten, offering sheltered outdoor teaching areas protected from sun and rain. the library, multipurpose room, workshop and recreation room can be used by the school, after-school care or community groups. together with the gymnasium, these spaces support wider public use.
