Community Basketball Court Development

Community Basketball Court Development is a volunteer-driven initiative to improve and activate a public basketball court in Darmstadt, Germany.
My contribution included site planning, preparation of layout drawings, coordination with local authorities regarding future court improvements, participation in the planning and implementation process for the permanent floodlighting installation, and long-term development of the community sports facility.
The permanent floodlighting has been successfully realized, extending the court’s usability throughout the year. The site now serves as a vibrant public sports venue, hosting large streetball tournaments, community events and cultural activities. Following previous successful competitions, the Night Hoops Festival 2026 will once again bring together more than 100 players, music, culture and the local community, demonstrating the lasting social impact of the project.
